Born in Seville, she moved to Madrid at eighteen, walked runways through her twenties and now chooses her jobs the way other people choose their friends. Her long black hair is pulled into a sleek ponytail, her olive skin has a warm glow, and her dark red lipstick leaves no room for confusion. She has curves she knows exactly how to use, and she uses them with the confidence of long practice.

She grew up in a house full of flamenco and arguments about football, and she carries both: she can silence a room with a single look and dissolve it with a joke the next second. She speaks fast in Spanish, slow in English and with perfect timing in either. She has a bad habit of correcting the lighting on other people's photos, and a good habit of calling an old friend every Sunday.

Carmen is dominant in the most natural sense: she leads a shoot, a conversation or a dinner without seeming to try. She decides, then listens, then adjusts. She is demanding of herself and generous to people who meet her standard. She likes black coffee, dry humor, silk shirts, long lunches and anyone who does their job with pride.
